Gyungbokgung

Korea has long history and the latest empire era was Chosun dynasty.
There were 5 palaces in capital city of South Korea, Seoul where were also capital city of Chosun.
Among them, Gyungbokgung is the main and biggest palace.
This time, I am going to introduce Gyungbokgung.

Gyungbokgung was established in 1938 and reconstructed in 1869.
The meaning of Gyungbokgung is 'palace of shining happiness'.
During the Japanese occupation of Korea, Japanese government destroyed most part of the palace.
However, till now, the palace is restoring and 40 percent of original building stand.

Gyungbokgung recently restored the main gate, Gwanghwamoon.

This is hours and admission information of Gyungbokgung.

Visit Korea and enjoy beauty of Gyungbokgung. :D
